Nifi Utils: Manage Your Production Nifi Instances with Ease
Nifi Utils is a free Chrome extension developed by chiranjeevikarthik.kuruganti that allows you to efficiently manage your production Nifi instances. This extension works exclusively on Nifi instances that are deployed and in production.
Once you open a logged-in Nifi instance in the active tab, the extension injects a content script that retrieves the JSON Web Token (JWT) token and hostname of the Nifi instance. With this information, the extension can fetch all the process groups present on the Nifi canvas and cache them for later viewing. You can search and sort the fetched process groups using various filters, as well as bookmark any process group by adding it to the queue. Additionally, you can export the queue as a CSV file.
Nifi Utils goes beyond fetching only what is available on the canvas. You can also search for process groups throughout the entire Nifi instance, and these search results are also cached for future reference. Furthermore, once a process group is fetched or searched for, it can be directly searched from Chrome's search bar indefinitely, unless the extension is uninstalled.
For users working on Nifior older versions, Nifi Utils offers various custom UI components that are injected directly into the Nifi UI. These components enable you to enable/disable controller services at a process group level, copy the JWT token with a single click, and back up process groups to your Google Drive. You can customize which UI components are enabled through the options menu.
